BMW i3 – the future goes all electric
No wonder, a majority of the car lovers are crazy about BMW. It is one company that made a wave of changes to the way the cars were looked at. Even, these splendid car manufacturers are driven by the green motors concepts that have caught hold of other car tycoons like Ford and Toyota. BMWi3 is all set to be developed into an electric powered car. BMWi3 will look like more of the BMW-1 series but it has got many special and enhanced features attached to it. This new series of cars is expected to be powered by electric batteries. This magnificent eco transport based 4 seat car will come with a configuration of 200 litres of boot space.
The eco green design of the car with fantastic configurations gives way to belief that the electric series will hit the market in the lines of zero emission cars. On all instance, this car will be the best of all the other eco cars as it comes with both performance and sophistication. Liquid cooled lithium-ion batteries will be the power factor and to top that the car has excellent inbuilt recharging function. Whenever brakes are exerted, the batteries get recharged based on the kinetic energy principle.
Speed also seems to be quiet attractive for an electric car which is expected to be 93mph. Thus BMWi3 electric model seems to be a perfect fit for urban transportation. In short, with the inbuilt recharging features, the car should easily be able to give 80-100 miles on a single recharge. The optional extended range power-train alongside the all-electric configuration is yet another catchy factor that is targeted on families that look out for longer operating range. The development of i3 series started in 2009 and the electric model is expected to entice the green living followers with its performance in 2013.
