Tesla Roadster is tempting Moscow
During the Russian leg of the Odyssey of Pioneers tour, the Tesla Roadster enjoyed the privilege of parking in Moscow’s renowned Red Square. Tesla’s technician Luke McClure is on cloud nine and says that the Roadster is an aesthetic and revolutionary car and hence it had the privilege to begin its journey in a fantastic way. Tesla is driven across three continents.
The Tesla Roadster, an electric car that runs on battery, is in its ongoing Odyssey of Pioneers world tour. Tesla Roadster had the dream opportunity to have a short stop by in Moscow’s most revered Red Square, a place known for its historical legacy. To get permission in this conventional place is not an easy task. It is also to be noted that Tesla Roadster is the sole vehicle till date without a Russian mechanism to have received permission to park in Red Square.
The Roadster has covered an amazing 5,000 kilometers in its first six legs tour. The Tesla Roadster, the high performance electric car, runs solely on electric support. It can cover up to 236-mile driving range and a 0-60 mph. The vehicle was able to manage itself without the help of the usual recharging networks. Conventional channels and some present infrastructure are used in order to keep the vehicle moving on the road.
The tour commenced on March 4, 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland and is to conclude in Paris, France in later part of September. The tour is now heading towards Delhi, India with a predicted arrival date of May 17, 2010. Tesla Motors and TAG Heuer, the luxury watch makers, are sponsoring the Odyssey of Pioneers tour as a joint initiative. The tour is expected to cover other places like China and Japan. The Odyssey of Pioneers tour will start its North American leg in late July.
