Toyota creating flowers as a responsibility sign

Environment conservation is something that has fired the imagination and caught the fancy of millions around the world. People are no longer satisfied with half hearted efforts to preserve the ecology as they demand greater efforts from the corporate world in coming up with initiatives and measures to rein in pollution and being about more responsible efforts towards environmental conservation. One of the companies that is trying to make an effort to shrug off its less than environment friendly image, is the Toyota Motor company.
Toyota has come up with two new species of flowers that will be used in its Prius plants. These plants were created as a result of genetic engineering and are designed to lower the carbon footprint of Prius plants. The Prius is one of the most popular hybrid cars of Toyota, and Toyota is keen to reinforce the green image that the car enjoys among users around the globe.
The two plants in question are versions of the sage cherry plant and the respectively gardenia. The sage cherry plant has special capabilities of absorbing harmful gases like nitrogen oxide. These are very harmful greenhouse gases and the plant is able to absorb these noxious fumes though its leaves. In the case of the gardenia plant version that has been created by Toyota, the plant acts as a natural humidifier. It creates vapor in the air which helps to cool the Toyota Prius factory grounds. The immediate benefit of this is that it helps to reduce the need for air conditioning in the area.
Toyota has been committed to the cause of reducing the carbon footprint of the Prius plants each year and has done so by almost 55% since the year 1990. These efforts reinforce the corporate brand image of Toyota as a company that is environmentally conscious as well as quite responsible.
